Preclinical Programs

Santhera's R&D strategy is focused on managing the risks associated with product development. Consequently, the company focuses its efforts on developing therapeutic compounds based on selected drug targets that have been validated in preclinical studies. To allow for rapid optimisation from known lead compounds to clinical candidate stage, Santhera employs state-of-the-art medicinal chemistry supported by in-house computational discovery skills and coupled with in-vivo experiments using disease-relevant models. Santhera has several on-going preclinical programs targeting neuromuscular indications.
