Board of Directors

The term of office of a Board member must not exceed three years, whereby a year means the period between two ordinary Shareholders’ Meetings. Directors are appointed or removed exclusively by a resolution of the shareholders. The terms of the Board members are staggered. The Board members were elected individually.

Martin Gertsch is Chairman of the Board. Mr Gertsch is an experienced chief financial officer in the life science industry. He currently serves as CFO of Acino Holding.

Jürg Ambühl is a seasoned marketing specialist with a long track record in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr Ambühl holds a PhD in chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and an MBA from the INSEAD. Read more...

All Board members are nonexecutive and none has ever been a member of the executive management of Santhera or any of its subsidiaries.
